When studying for the ACT or SAT, should I learn the content, or should I learn how to master the exam? The simplest answer here is "Both." The ACT and the SAT do require students to know specific exam content and testing strategies

Or if you start to work on a problem and realize it’s harder than you thought or that it’s taking too much time, do what you can to quickly eliminate wrong answer choices and guess amongst the remaining choices.
